NotebookLM helps you understand anything. If you’ve used NotebookLM before, you’ve manually uploaded sources for your projects — whether you’re writing a paper, planning a vacation or transcribing interviews. But starting today, there’s a new option: Discover sources.
When you tap the Discover button in NotebookLM, you can describe the topic you’re interested in, and NotebookLM will bring back a curated collection of relevant sources from the web. You can add those sources to your notebook in one click. It’s a fast and easy way to quickly grasp a new concept or gather essential reading on a topic.

Reports are getting a MAJOR update starting today (buckle up, this is a big one
):
1) You can now create your own report that perfectly fits your needs by specifying the structure, style, tone, and more.
2) We've added the language picker to reports, so you can now create a report in any of our 80+ supported languages.
3) Notebook will now offer dynamic suggestions for topics or themes all based on your sources, from overviews to deep dives. For example, uploading scientific papers might suggest creating a white paper, while news articles could generate explainers.
4) You can now fully customize prompts to any of your reports
5) We're introducing a new stock report— blog posts!
